Orthopedics and Dentistry

The branch of dentistry dealing with the prevention or correction of irregularities of the teeth. Orthodontists and dentists both help patients improve their oral health, but in different ways. Dentistry is a broad medical speciality that deals with the teeth, gum, nerves, and jaw, while orthodontics is a speciality within dentistry that focuses on correcting bites, occlusion, and the straightness of teeth. Orthopaedics is the treatment of misaligned jaws; orthodontics is the treatment of misaligned teeth. The two together acts to create a well-structured and healthy environment in your mouth.
